VINYL RECORDS PRESSING

Pressing music records in Germany and Japan is advantageous due to their superior quality standards.

Japanese pressings use virgin vinyl, resulting in minimal surface noise and exceptional sound clarity. Their meticulous quality control and unique packaging, like the collectible Obi strip, make them highly desirable among audiophiles and collectors.

German pressings are equally renowned for their high-quality materials and precision manufacturing techniques, ensuring consistent audio fidelity. While other countries, such as the U.S., may produce variable-quality records due to recycled materials and less stringent controls, Germany and Japan consistently deliver top-notch results, making them the preferred choices for serious music enthusiasts.

MASTERING YOUR TRACKS

Remastering a record before pressing it onto vinyl is crucial due to the unique physical and sonic properties of the format. Vinyl records have inherent limitations, such as the need to reduce low frequencies to prevent needle skipping.

This requires careful adjustments to the frequency response and dynamics, as vinyl cannot handle the same loudness and compression levels as digital formats. Our skilled mastering engineer will optimise the EQ and compression to ensure the best sound quality while accommodating these constraints.

Additionally, mastering for vinyl involves creating separate WAV files for each side of the record and requires specialised equipment and expertise. The process often includes high or low pass filtering and other adjustments to maintain clarity and prevent distortion.

Full ALBUM ARTWORK

Designing vinyl record albums in-house while handling the pressing offers significant advantages in quality control and communication. By overseeing both processes, you ensure higher consistency and can make real-time adjustments, reducing the risk of errors that might occur when outsourcing. In-house design allows for greater customization and flexibility, enabling you to fine-tune artwork and adapt to changes quickly.

Moreover, managing design and pressing together can lead to cost savings by eliminating third-party fees and expediting the production timeline. This seamless integration fosters a cohesive product that aligns with the artist’s vision, while also protecting intellectual property by keeping sensitive information in-house.

PACKAGING, SHIPPING

Utilizing trusted freight partners around the world for delivery or storage of pressed vinyl records ensures efficient and reliable distribution, minimizing delays and potential damage during transit. This approach allows for quicker delivery to global markets, reduces storage costs, and provides flexibility to meet fluctuating demand, ultimately enhancing customer satisfaction and streamlining the overall supply chain process.

Furthermore, our ability to drop ship vinyl directly to our clients’ customers eliminates the need for additional handling and warehousing on their part, providing a seamless, end-to-end solution that allows artists and labels to focus on their core business while we manage the entire production and distribution process.
